So today i went out to get a few things to start on the chair. i picked up a drop cloth (for the fabric), a test paint (perfect size for the chair), and a staple gun and staples.
first things first.....
get kids occupied
then...
take off the cushion
down to the bones
then....
tester paint is a perfect size for a chair
i mixed both of those colors
all painted with the first stage of paint
then while the paint dries its time to work on the upholstery (i had wanted to do a slipcover for the bottom of this seat but my sewing machine is packed up in storage so i will later)....
take staples out
Let me just say that the manual staple gun i got today sucked!
look it barley got them in. so i will be going back tomorrow to return it and get the good one! (very worth it!)
ugh
I will redo this tomorrow
so thats where i am with the chair for today. i will do more tomorrow but for now its time to get ready for date night. We get to see sleepless in Seattle in the theater here in town im so excited

I love the it :) That bluey/green color is perfect!
With it's new color, it's looking good already!
I love your chair! I am in the middle of a reupholstering and painting for the first time. You chair has made me want to change my paint direction. I was wondering if you could let me know which staple gun you ended up getting? I have a silver heavy-duty one but I am not sure it will work. I would appreciate any staple tips. I can't afford the air staples nor would it make sense for me..thanks again
I also love the side tables you did.
